PIVOT traders: YM closing price and settlement price for pivot points???

Hi, I have been using mypivots.com for a long time to get the pivots and close of yesterday for the day but I am a bit confused since I am try to pro gramme them on my tradestation.

I am wondering where to get the closing price of YM for trading pivots.

I am referring to classic daily pivots.

The CBOT website does say that the settlement price of Dow is 8259 but cant find that price on my 1 min chart.

YM 4:00 close 8262
YM 4:15 close 8249
YM 5:30 close 8248

So I couldn't find that closing price of 8259 that mypivots.com is using in their pivots calculation.

What do you guys use?

The settlement price is not necessarily the last trade price. Each exchange has rules for how the settlement price is determined.
 
I ignore the settlement price, and use standard formulae. Works for me.

I did not investigate thouroughly, but looks like just formula without any involvement of the CBOE settlement is working even better. At least the price respects my pivots almost religiously that is not the case with other way around.
