Pivot Point

Here are the Pivots plotted on both the ES and the NQ for the last several days on a 10 minute chart. (ES is the upper chart in yellow, and NQ is the lower in Cyan).

Dizzyspell has made great points about it's being more important how you trade them rather than just waiting for price to hit that point. You can see the small penetrations in the chart while one market waits for the other to follow, the pullbacks, and the eventual S/R appearance on a 10 minute chart.

The chart's done in Tradestation 2000, and I have the Daily Pivot points plotted as dots. The Pivot is hidden, but Pivots 1 and 2 are shown.

There's a book called "Detecting High Profit Day Trades
In The Futures Markets" by J.T. Jackson, that is basically
a method for trading pivot points.

It's not bad. If you like to trade pivots,you'll want to
read it.
