Pivot Levels

Quote from gamalruach:

Nah, I just have never used that complex shit. I made over 45,000% profit trading a currency competition in two weeks - I never used anything except my brains.

But, if you cannot explain simply what pivot stuff is then apparently you are too superior a trader compared to me.

Thanks anyway,

Sam

Uh huh. I stand by my original post.

Thanks, sulong!

Does it help? Well... kinda. But what doesn't makes sense is, I've made lots of trades. Is the "anticipation" based on something?

Am I asking the right questions?

Sam

Back to the pivot thingy for a moment. You see, your question was pretty broad, so my answer was the same way.

Most posters on this thread, and others like it, talk about pivots as if the only type of pivots that exist are "calculated floor pivots".

This is not true.

There are other pivots ( db and tripack eluded to them).
These are previous days H /L, the last reactionary H /L, ect...
So when discussing pivots, its important to know which pivots are being highlighted in the discussion.

Is the "anticipation" based on something?

Yes, its based on study of price action at previous pivot levels.
If you do this, you will soon find which pivots are important, and which pivots are less important, and the significance of blended pivots.

PS. Its very possible I didn't understand your last question.

Now many of us newbies on ET would like very much to send $1 to your Paypal account and expect our Paypal accounts individually to grow by $22,500 (based on 50% profit sharing :D) in few weeks time!

I think newbies should first work on their basic math skills :-)

45,000% growth would grow a dollar to $450, not $45,000.

My poor maths, again! You're certainly right. But $450 (or $45) is too good to be true. :D

45,000% growth would grow a dollar to $451, not $450.

Sounds like pivots and dojis are similar as far as calculating the next market move...?

do any of you guys have this dilemma...

Sometimes when I screw my lady friend, and I reach a climax I just keep coming for, like, 15 minutes. It makes it kinda hard on her because she is bent over and has to stay that way 'til I withdraw.

Do any other guys here have this happen as well?

Maybe its my new herbal concoction...
