Hello Gtizzle101,

Don't know if you have tried it, but if you have without being taught what the concepts are behind the lines, then you have done yourself a great disservice. I have taught people who have been trying to trade with many other disciplines, and have said this is the first time they have something consistent and reliable that is also very systematic. I encourage you to do some more research before you take sides. You might be missing out :).

Yes! by all means, why would you use a leading indicator, when you can use some lagging moving average or a derivative lagging indicator.

Hey Wallet (like that name :)),

Well... to me, driving forward and looking through the front windshield is better than trying to use a rearview mirror to show me where I just came from. In this business I would take a heads-up approach over 20-20 hindsight any day.

It might interest you to know that I like looking at a lagging indicator to confirm what I see coming, because I want to see (know) what traders like you and others are looking at, therefore what you are thinking. But the Pitchfork to me is the main entree to the meal: everything else is a side dish.

The bottom line is though...if you have a method or system that works for you, great. Pitchforks work well for me and many others. But to blast someone's system as was done earlier is unfortunate.

Just to add/clarify...

*what I already see coming. Pitchforks actually get me in ahead of the MAs, but they let me see that other traders may be following to push my position.

Please read my earlier post with sarcasm. I'm a firm believer in the 50% Fib Fan line. Regarding skinning the cat by other means, if it works for you, what others think or say shouldn't matter. If that ruffs you feathers, I promise you the markets will be far less kind.
