does anyone know how to find the IP address for the "tws" or any internet based trading platform. if i had the correct address i could ping it and tell how long it takes an order to get to it's destination. it has been said that more than 100 ms is too long

IB US server : gw1.ibllc.com (you can also try gw2 -gw5)
IB Europe server : gw1.ibllc.ch

thanks H20 ,it works , do you happen to have the address for the " pfgbest" trading platform i use them both one backs up the other if needed

Sorry, no I don't have it.
But perhaps it's somewher on the platform (look for server settings, this will be an IP nr most likely, but you can ping it as well)
Or you can just ask tech support, they'll know.
