ping IB server

You cannot know the path from the remote server to yourself; unless you can get someone at the remote end to ping you.

When you do traceroute; you are only finding out the route from yourself to the remote server.

I think it was You on another message board, regarding ping times from Thailand to HK, about 5 months ago, Correct ?

You need to be either in the US, Japan or Western Europe to get a steady connection to the states.
