Been there, but fortunately didn't say anything stupid. Acting as a safety pilot for a friend practicing instrument approaches on a crappy day, so ATC was busy handling everyone flying. Our mic was stuck for 5 minutes before we realized we weren't hearing anything. ATC controller called after we apologized and complimented us on not saying anything bad about controllers.
Was working close to Miramar Navy base in San Diego a few years ago and for some reason the computer was picking up radio from a Navy pilot apparently in training. Guy suddenly groaned "I just shit in my suit"
