AOC is the Kim Kardashian of politics. She gets a lot of attention, but has no substance. Maybe Trump will invite her to the White House for a summit.
He should do exactly that. Ask her what policies of hers he would need to adopt to get her support. Imagine if Trump announced he supported 70% tax on incomes above $10 mill? And changing the law to allow college loans to be cancelled in bankruptcy? And medicare for all?
The Romney/Kasich crowd, with their 3 percent support, would go ballistic but Trump's actual supporters would like it.
Like slavery in the runup to the Civil War however, illegal immigration is the dark cloud that blocks out all progress. Dems are so fixated on bringing in a new electorate, they don't really care about solving problems now. They figure in a few years, the country will be theirs anyway, so why compromise.
