The headphones and mic connects me with the traders at my office in Chicago. The headphones are noise canceling, so I feel completely immersed when I have them on. I use Skype to connect on VoIP (it's free).

I scalp, so music or even CNBC is a distraction. If I was swing trading and hold positions for several hours, I would probably listen to some sort of music... but I don't.

Let me guess, Monk is your idol?

I trade for Chicago Trading Co. Check out the website. We are MM. I hedge for the guys on the floor (cboe merc amex). my main product is es with the yms second. i also do eurodollars but only a couple times a day just to hedge our rho. (interest rate risk). We are in the cbot. jim
