You're not kiddin. I actually got the cpus liquid cooled with like a mini radiator. - yea, sounds super nerdy, but was a fun build.

As for the monitors, to be honest i'm not sure. I have a fan in the office and 2 windows very close, but I can tell the heat is building on warm days. I'm actually open to suggestions for this one. Otherwise the AC units will just have to come in earlier.

Was considering porting a duct direct from the basement up here as the basement is considerably cooler year round, but the wife didnt like the idea of making some big holes :/

You know, they make protable "free-standing" AC units which are great for a single room. This way you're not taxing the entire house.

Use to have just a bunch of pci cards, now I upgraded to pci-e and stacked a board that had 5 slots to get 10 monitors on the one box. 8600gs by nvidia

Not a bad idea. Would give better cooling than a window unit in same general location?

Nice looking setup xtk. Did you mention what model those monitors are, and are they all identical?

I'm at the stage where my monitors will be hard to find exact replacements for once they die ... curious about how you deal with out of production models when one needs replacing.

all dell e2311h

I got a bunch of DELL PC's for clients and most didnt need replacement monitors, so I just upgraded them for a few bucks and on they went! Otherwise woulda been $$$

Some day I'd like to get high end deals, but these work pretty well for now.

Good question; window units tend to be a bit louder, but can drain condensation outdoors....I would check into the advantages/disadvantages of each.

wow xtk ...so many monitors.
is it absolutely necessary?

but looks super cool.

absolute necessity? no.. but i'm able to correlate items better. so it works for me :)

If I didnt have access to cheap components and good knowledge of hardware I may not have taken this route.. Good synergies between my company and trading
