Just regular 1U half depth i7 cases. Nothing special. The big dells I have now that are dual CPU are too valuble to replace so I will keep them for as long as possible. Most of the individual boxes will move over to racks, the bigger server/simulation boxes will stay as workstation for a while.

Computer hardware will not determine the degree to which you succeed in trading. Successful trading cannot be purchased from a technology retailer, and some may argue that it cannot be purchased at all.

have you found that the number - keypad leads to over trading, because of ease of entry and fewer steps to confirm a trade?

whether emini trades, or equity trades

after all, we're not on the floor of the exchange, handling agency business

Fewer steps? If you mean as opposed to normal entry in a platform where you select an instrument, then a type of order, then a price, then add bracket orders, etc., indeed, but I would say most people here (at least those trading futures) trade out of a DOM, BookTrader, call it what you want where you're only one click away from a trade, so in that regard, no, I don't think it leads to overtrading.

I have found that, considering that most people end up introducing orders at the limit/ask +/- a tick or two, it leads to fewer entry errors.

Still, if you're good, you're going to be good with most entry systems and viceversa.
