In Feng Shui, if you know your 4 lucky directions ( everybody has their own based on the date of birth and time of birth), then with youself always facing either one of the directions at work or sleep will bring luck to you in the long run.
Not the monitor, but don't have yourself facing big open window, a toilet door, shape objects / corners, stove of kitchen, big columns, a stair, ...etc in front of you.
Not an expert in Feng Shui, but you can follow it if you like and does not cost you money.
