Pictures of your trading stations

Well, if you ever have to do hard time, the 6X8 cell should be no problem for ya. :p

How come the majority of folks who have posted pictures of their trading setups have such tiny desks. I've been going through the thread looking for something and it struck me how small many of the desks are. Its almost like a contest to see how much stuff one can put on the smallest available space. LOL! Not making fun of anyone, just an observation. Some of these desks look like they are going to collapse under the weight of all the stuff that's placed on them...

Well they haven't delivered the Bear Stearns board room table yet and frankly I don't know where I'm gonna put it. LOL :D

Since my wife and kids love to bug me while I'm trading, I had to move the trading rig out of our office where my wife has her computer and the kids frequent too often. All the other rooms in our house all have their purposes, so I had to get creative in order to be by myself. I actually love being in the closet, since there are no other distractions. Since I'm generally trading while the kids are sleeping, I can keep the door open so it doesn't get too hot.
How funny! I just moved my setup from the first floor office to a room in the basement this weekend. My wife was always complaining about the ugly wires and equipment and it was always so noisy upstairs. I completely understand your situation!

Simple cheap desk (bookcase).
But dig that chair--42" wide, comfortable cotton, who needs Herman Miller?

Wonders how many times OP has lost his mouse under chair with 3D mousepad/chair arm during fast market conditions! :D

Not yet, but I have fallen asleep several times, even when in the market. This is the 3rd location in my house where I've tried to set up shop. I have actually run a DVI split to the plasma in my livingroom, but the resolution was horrible.

I've fallen asleep as well during a globex trade fortunately it had moved in my favor and I had my stop in, and nothing beats waking up to darkened monitors that you wake up to check your position.

Here's my upgraded trading station. A Dell Precision T3400 workstation and three 21 1/2 inch monitors. About $1700 in total.

For those without dual monitors, it's well worth it. I added a second monitor to my old Dell computer when I noticed that the video card was able to handle dual monitors. There was an instant improvement in my trading performance by eliminating switching between screens and possibly missing a good oppotunity. I figured three was better than two so expanded again with my new computer.

Seems like we're facing walls or corners. I'm going to re-arrange soon so I can look out the window. Maybe I'll put the monitors on the windowsill.
