The reason i have got both is i found atleast 4-5 times last year that esignal will breakdown or the feed will get really slow. This is quite rare as i think esignal is top notch software but on these days the frustration of having positions on and having slow data feed or frozen feed was extremely frustrating.


Moreover, esignal will charge me again to add it to the other computer - i already have 4 monitors plugged into my custom dekstop machine.

I recently added an account with tradestation to firstly try out its charting abilities.

With all the add-ons with esignal my bill is roughly $250/month so not too high imo.

my system is uglier. None of my monitors match (no picture). I slowly added em hodge podge. Gonna add 2 new 24's and a new laptop next month though. Will still have the ugly mess, but the 24's will be sweet.

Hello. Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. Some of you might know me from other trading communities. Anyways, this is one of my favorite topics in this forum. I'm very impressed by some of the trading desks I saw here, especially the ones by Maestro.

Here is a couple of pics of my trading desk.

1. Self made trading computer with 3 Proview monitors, running TradeStation. Monitors were used. I bought them total for $100. The computer I bought originally when I was in college, around 10 years ago. The only thing that is original on it is the case, floppy drive, and mouse.
2. Sony Vaio Centrino Duo laptop, Vista, and HPw17e monitor to the right is hooked up to it, running SlingBox.
3. 1300UPS backing up all these. And a 500UPS backing up the modem and telephone. Very useful in case of power outage, which happened once.
4. Spill proof keyboard. Not sure if it works.
5. You might notice that I use folders and notepads for mousepads. This is bcause the regular mousepads tend to collect grime and get in the mouse and it is some trouble cleaning it. Ofcouse you can just keep buying new mousepads. But I got used to doing it this way.

And you may also notice my dog to the left taking a nap.

the resolution will suck though so you won't get more stuff on it. Everything will just be larger. As far as I know, 30" is as big as you can go with really high res so that it is the equivalent of having several several smaller screens. Expensive though. 2 24's would be better imo. and lots cheaper. You can get 24's from Tiger for $300 bucks now (on sale).
 
Slow day for me so I put up a picture of my set-up. I've had this set-up for a while now, it was all top of the line when new. I'm sure it's average to sub-par now.

Top row of monitors 2 20" Dells + 2 20" Dell widescreens.

Bottom row 2 20" Dells + 1 30" Dell

I have 2 Dell Precisions each with dual dual core Xeons 3.0 ghz and 8 gigs of Ram.

Also have a 2 20" dells behind me, serviced by a pos Dell optiplex for basic internet use that is not in the picture.
