Pictures of your trading stations

I have 12....and use them all. Generally, each system/strategy requires one machine and one monitor, I use 3 screens as my main trading, 1 for futures. Two for charting and analysis, a laptop for signals and chatting. One for news, music, and Squawk. 4 for my systems. I'd like to have more, but only as the systems I'm trading require it.

All flat screens, 4 24", 8 20", mounted on arms and quad stand. Going forward, I will probably create my own custom monitor stand that will hold all of them. Very nice setup.

how many machines u runing?

I'd love to see a pic of that.

why do you need a seperate computer for each monitor? i'm running 8 20's on 2 machines. i'm trading 10 accounts and 8 of those are dynamic with multiple level 2's, future dynamic domes, and multiple graph and quote packages using a kvm switch to go between computers with 1 mouse and keyboard. running a intc duo processor with 2 gig of ram on each computer. i also use trade idea's and briefing and i've never bogged down once. the only reason for using sperate computers would be if you're running many auto execution strategies in case a system went down. i also have a backup dsl system. it's very nice having allt hat real estate if trading alot of accounts. now with 1 account 4 monitors is plenty

what I would really like is a zero-gravity chair set-up with all the monitors tilted with flexible arms, if u know what i mean. let me post couple of pics to explain.

this is the concept:

I concur. It really depends on what you are trading. If you are trading one market. You probably only need a couple monitors. IF you are running a lot of systems etc. You need enough real estate to just turn your head and react or deal with your systems/trading. Flipping around charts/programs during the trading day is a bad habit and will cost you money. You should have enough screens to fulfill your trading needs without having to flip around charts or the web etc.

(based on my experiences at a prop desk. The traders with the biggest pnl's did not flip around or surf the net at all. Setting up your screens for the day and go. I think the internet has been great for info BUT horrible for traders who have too much access to it!)

I am thinking of buying 24's do you have those on Ergotron mounts? I have yet to know a trader who mounted those.
