Pictures of your trading stations

interesting art on the wall behind the monitors-- what is this ?

thanks,

:)

Its a picture of my first system (1996) that I designed as an interactive game. Its being used by over 1100 people around the world and it was called "MAGUS CHRONOSTOCK 1000". After that it was MAGUS RTN (real time stock navigator) and many others till I sold my company to its present owners.

i dont see the benefit in voice recognition. surely its faster to either click or type in orders? you can also visually double check before transmitting.

what am i missing??

Voice recognition is really handy when you need to find required info or do a quick search of parameters. Example: If I say "MICROSOFT" it brings all the latest news, change in the sentiment and current position to my attention without going to click on anything. It also highlights all of my open orders related to this stock.

Your setup is cool to look at but does it help you make money??

If you have an ATS(automatic trading system) making your trading decisions for you why do you need all those monitors to look at?

Does this trading set up fill you pockets or your ego?

What are the expenses associated with the setup?

You have already stated that you have made 60% using this setup. My question is how did this setup help you make the money. I understand your ATS places the orders. How did this setup help your traders monitor the positions?

If you did not have this setup would your ATS have made only 30%?

Our philosophy is BIONICS: - the hybrid between a computer and and human operator. Computer does what machines do best: searching for info, calculating options, filter data etc. Human traders do what humans are best at: visual pattern recognition and association. So, the system puts accents on visual adaptation of traders to current trading environment with as much help as possible from computers. Its a long discussion but you probably get an idea.

Now I see where you want to get at. You are still not very far yet. Want a good laugh with your BIONICS? Take a look at the pictures in the paper:

As you previously talked about ATS, why still bother with your BIONICS crap? My ATS hums away really great without me. To kill time while my ATS makes the money, I'm going to install a setup like:

60%.............anyone who talks about their trading in those terms is an investor, not a trader.

As i said many times on this forum: There are unlimited amount of ways you can succeed in the markets, unfortunately, none of them could be assessed ahead of time as there are also unlimited amount of market conditions that can make your approach worthless. Adaptation and association makes intellectual progress possible. I got my Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence in 1985, probably before you could read. :) . I wrote 6 books, over 150 scientific papers and received 54 international patents on various subjects. I think, I have an idea of what I'm doing. I have built systems that control very complex objects including a real time telemetric system for low orbit and elliptical satellites. So, I have a bit of experience in the field don't you think?

Nice pics.

What I find amazing is that with all that computing power you have a calculator beside the phone.
Checking your work??:D

I've been approached by a few individuals/firms about trading this software. "MAGUS" does ring a bell. They were very different deals from each other.
Its seems that this software is sort of "franchised" out to different brokerages if I recall correctly.

So you are the original developer? You sold the software, but still get to trade it?

Maestro,

Nice setup. I hope all of your desires continue to get fulfilled.

As you may have noticed, the thread has deteriorated rapidly and there is no sense in responding to every post. This is a thread about trading stations and you have posted yours. You have posted more pictures than anyone can ask for, so you have made a great contribution here. I would suggest that you spend your valuable time working on the system rather than defending your business and credentials. In the end, this is not a Noble prize committee examining your candidacy for the award. You don't have to convince or impress anyone here but yourself, your investors and your staff.

Good luck.
