I have 3 at home and 4 at work. I put email, quotes/charts and order entry/internet.

at work its email, IM/chat/internet/other, quotes, data spreadsheets.

Three is nice - four in a row is a little much. I'm going to try 2x2 at work and I'd love a 3x3 setup but honestly I think that's a little overkill...

There is a great little programme called 'Ultramon' It allows you to run multi monitor setups. For example:

1). Different desktop background on each monitor.
2). Set a certain programme to a certain monitor.
3). Switch programmes between monitors using hotkeys

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure. I don't see why not. My setup is 2 monitors connected to the box. The right monitor I have my charts and the left monitor is my TWS/email/web/msn etc
