I like the vertical screens on the side. That's a very good way to use the space.

How is the images rotated? Does the graphics card do that? or do you need a special LCD?

Does that yellow sticky note say .... pick up bread and milk on the way home. :p

LOL. No. It says:

1)Pick up smokes
2)stop at liquor store for Bombay
3)admit that Uptik parties harder

:D

Very nice Bandit!

Love that 30" panel.

What trading platforrm/software are you using?

Thanks StockzTrader. I use Tradestation for quotes and charting, IB for execution, and Bracket Trader for order management. I ran IB demo because they shut down access on Friday nights for server maintenance, and to not show my account number to the world :)

Nvidia's software does the rotation for you, it's part of their Nview function. I'd imagine the multi display software from ATI or Matrox should do it also. I use Nvidia's Quadro NVS 400 to power the 4 side panels, and an Nvidia 7900GS to power the middle two 30" and 22".

one nice function of nview is the desktop profiles. I've set up 2:

1. just the 30" alone with the others powered off
2. all the panels powered on

that way on weekends or night when I just want to use the 30" I can switch profiles and not have to push the power button on 5 panels. they go into sleep mode when there's no signal.

and then when I want them all on at once, I switch profiles and they all automatically turn on by themselves when the signal starts.

Tradestation is surprisingly robust at handling multi displays (I had read some negatives before). I've set up an individual "desktop" for each of the top panels and the main panel. TS remembers the positioning of the desktops and loads them all after logging in. One nice feature is that TS is very modifiable, and it allows you to size fonts on different panels so you can tailor to resolution and LCD placement as needed. That and it kicks ass in charting. The only thing is that with more desktops and workspaces open, it takes longer to load. I'll find out monday if it's stable at handling live fire and receiving quotes accurately. If not, I may need to decrease the number of desktops.
