What if your Mother was raped and killed. Should the AP run that so we know the true nature of the crime.

No one asks you to serve anymore. No one forces it on anyone. Seems to me we should respect their wishes.
 
No, it should not have been shown. But the AP ceased to be a responsible news organization decades ago. Now it is basically a subsidiary of moveon.org.

i would agree that the family gets a veto on identity and even a blocking of the face but the picture should be shown.
