Learning philosophy will slow you down if you are weighing it against simply learning the risks and mechanics of real day to day and longer term trading. You should only view it as a kind of entertainment or exercise at best. I went through a long period from about 18 to 25 that would have been much better rewarded trading then wasting time reading heidegger, derrida, husserl, merleau-ponty, zizek, jabes, braudel, jameson, lukacs, and so on...
You need the ability to make decisions based on risks and measure them in real time.
Philosophy can't do that. I just saved you a lot of time, I hope.
