We, the authors of “Why Is the FDA Attacking a Safe, Effective Drug?” (op-ed, July 29), have egg on our faces. Relying on a summary of studies published in the American Journal of Therapeutics, we quoted the results from a study of 200 healthcare workers. After our article was published, we learned that this study, by Ahmed Elgazzar of Benha University in Egypt, has recently been retracted due to serious charges of data manipulation.

That was the problem in India of a BILLION people...for example in the city of New Delhi...many were taking Ivermectin since 2020 but still had that roaring explosion in Covid numbers in 2021 because they did not have enough Doctors, enough Nurses, enough Healthcare workers, enough Oxygen, enough Ventilators...

The dead were eventually burned outside in special crematoriums lots.
India reached out to the world for help and the world responded via sending them Oxygen, Ventilators, Medical Personnel, Medical Equipment, mass Covid testing, improved Contact Tracing, and Better Covid Education...they literally went door to door to educate people about Covid.

Now India's numbers are declining very nicely...many are saying it's because they were given Ivermectin in combo with other medical drugs. :D

Just as important, Ivermectin believers also do not believe the strict restrictions and curfews implemented in April had helped decline the Covid Hospitalizations / ICUs / Deaths.
We could have sent India boxes of Twizzlers in 2020, January 2021, February 2021, March 2021 and then watched the Covid numbers declined in May...to claim Twizzlers is the miracle drug.

I feel sorry for Mr. Valentine, ECMO machines are the last effort, and the outcome is not good for survival. Those that do survive, many have years of debilitating adverse effects.

We do have a little history about the power strict restrictions and curfews during a Pandemic...Sweden was eventually forced to use it in 2021 to control their exploding Covid numbers and it successfully worked...they were not given Ivermectin and Sweden's Covid numbers have been declining very nicely.

Instead, they started to get vaccinated. In fact, the infamous Anders Tegnell got vaccinated along with encouraging their citizens to get vaccinated too. Simply, he stopped with the Natural Herd Immunity bullshit.
