Pharrell Williams sends Trump cease-and-desist for playing 'Happy' at rally

As every legal analyst noted -- Trump has every legal right to play Steven Tyler's song at the event held in the venue.

As the license companies noted, they can pull the license

Following a similar letter stating, “Trump for President needs our client’s express written permission in order to use his music” and that the campaign “was violating Mr. Tyler’s copyright,” BMI drove the point home and pulled the public performance rights for the song. Public performance rights for “Livin’ on the Edge” are administered by ASCAP..

That's the claim from Tyler's camp.... when people looked into this the facts did not bear it out.

After Tylers lawyers demanded he stop using the music.
What you're saying is technically correct but your parsing words. Trump did stop after Tyler's Lawyer's letter. But what you fail to either comprehend or acknowledge is Tyler's Lawyer's letter had no legal basis for stopping Trump, it was just an empty threat.

Yes it is. He's 100% right. Ask Mick.

Then everything is meaningless. How liberating. After the death of his wife a man named Dzhugashvili decided exactly that it is said.

I know you have to google that so I'll save you the effort, he then became known as Stalin. When everything is meaningless you can do anything! MAGA.

As an alleged songwriter maestro I would have expected you to see how the musician would see it as a personal insult with Trump debasing his work playing it as his Nurnberg rallies.

Pharrell is making a personal statement, that is all.
