The only reason they make so much money is because there are not so many of them around. This is not because people don't want to become pharmacists or nurses but because board of nurses and board of pharmacists has a powerful lobby in DC to prevent additional schools offering these programs. I'm not sure that's really it, because drug sales reps get paid just as much and they are always hiring. What you speak of affects the medical field overall, not specifically targeted at pharmacists.
It the legal drug dealing industry which a very deep & sick agenda. So the dealers & pushers have to be paid well to keep doing what they are doing without questioning what is really going on.
