Amnesty for illegals + open borders? HOW FUCKING STUPID CAN WE GET?

Boner is soooooo convinced that an "Hispanic favorable" legislation will secure the Mexicans for the Republican vote, he's willing to sell out the country. (Odds are the Hispanic community is going to vote DemoCrap even if Boner gets his anti-American legislation through. After all, illegals come here mostly to suck off of the social-support tit. Sheesh!)

Holy SHIT! Have the Republicans gone mad??

I used to ask myself that very same question. Then the answer occurred to me.

The vast wave of hispanics will not vote for today's republican party. They want a party that supports big government, redistributive policies, affirmative action, etc, ie pretty much the same policies the liberal/moderate republicans are ok with. Their reasoning has to be that they can marginalize conservatives, who have no where else to go, and move the republican party to the left to appeal to big business and the soccer mom crowd who are uncomfortable with the more repellent elements of the democrat party.

What people don't realize is the republicans as a very conservative party is a relatively recent phenomenon. It began with the Goldwater revolution, reached full flower under Ronald Reagan and was bascially destroyed by the Bushes.

The pejorative RINO is actually somewhat ironic, a more accurate term being CINO, conservative in name only.

The battle we are seeing in the republican party is merely a replay of one that was carried out throughout the 1960's and 70's. The arguments were exactly the same. The eastern establishment republicans were always wailing that the party had to nominate people who were "electable;", ie acceptable to their wing. They were thrilled when Goldwater was demolished.

Now they see their way back to power on the backs of illegals. That is why there is this push to get amnesty through before the presidential primaries. They want it out of the way as an issue, so nothing stands in the path of Jeb Bush.

I'm sure as hell not going to take establishment GOP side, but they are under intense pressure from Chamber of Commerce to get amnesty...big business wants cheap labor, plain and simple, and they don't care which party they get it from.
