Wouldn't Berkshire Hathaway be the obvious? Or maybe just a railroad?

Warren Buffett has to be right up at the top on long term past performance. But have his best days gone by ? Railroads !

If his railroad is willing to put in the huge investment for 250 mph trains, then maybe not.

A bit old and stodgy for some investors though ?

Your comment re railroads has me wondering: What is cheaper? Steel or rubber. A truck is basically a moving barrel of oil.
