The topic has been discussed exhaustively. Bitcoin and Ethereum offer very interesting and unique technological advantages over what current banking and finance has available. That's it in a nutshell. You can bet on the new technology or bet on the current banking oligarchy to maintain all the power. I can't tell you who will win but that's the story.
