I remember the market was shut for an entire week, but I wonder what happened to the weeklies that expired that week. Like if you had puts that week and were set to make a killing, did they just kill your options and let them expire without giving you a chance to get out? or did they extend all options a week?
People who traded during 9/11...what happened to weekly options that week the market was shut?

Yeah, no weeklies back then, But I did have on some SPX call diags that kicked my a$$.

Even if they were in existence + sounds like they were not;
you think they would open a closed exchange just for put buyers/sellers?? I think not.....................................................................................................I also remember that was pretty much the bottom; slippage would have been a real killer
