People change. So did Lincoln. It is the measure of a man his final convictions, and he did fine by any standard of the day when it comes to Slavery and the plight of the Black folk.

This is one reason why the block feature is dumb here. Because people do change, you know. (That's a separate thingy, but it dovetails into a point I was making in the feedback section. I guess not in the best way though, hehe).

Are you kidding. If anything, his statue should be torn down on the sole principle that he was too stupid to figure out what he actually believes in and had to rely on other people to tell him if something is bad or not.

Every race has been a slave. People only focus on slavery in the US because we're the most powerful nation on Earth and blacks here think they can get something for nothing if they bitch enough. Blacks in Brazil don't complain because there isn't anything to get. Even those brazil was the last country in the Americans to abolish slavery, they never bitch about how big slavery was there.
