The real reason to move to a cashless society is for governments to have complete control over your deposits. Oh, they'll tell you all about how it stops money laundering and crime but it's really all about control. When they know you're forced to use a bank, and they can impose negative interest rates, they force you to spend.

Crime is just transferred from individuals to the government and theft is now considered "legal".

We are moving toward digital currency...tangible $ is too expensive to produce for one thing. and it's so 80's lol

no sense fighting it, it's already here (credit/debit cards) and it's going to replace cash.

eventually cash will be banned, and only criminals will use cash. when cash is outlawed only outlaws will have cash. it's a slippery slope rofl
