People are negative about trading

It’s not easy to be happy about something when you have to put your money at risk and there’s no guarantee of getting it back. Not everyone is ready to do that. And it’s not just your efforts that justify your results. The market has an equal role to play.

Definitely not a fan of telling anyone I have anything to do with trading. I do 'computer stuff' or 'am on the computer all day', and 99% of the time that's enough.

I mention the markets, hoping I find someone else who is interested. Usually the mention of the markets is enough to get people to change the subject.

It really sucks that the average person is negative about trading. I’ve gotten to the point where I do not share my trading life with much of anyone. I have 1 friend who is very supportive, no surprise that he was trading for about 1.5 years until recently. One of my closest friends continues to say that I should focus on my regular job and forget about trading. Another close friend is a financial advisor and he is happy to deliver index type returns and would never support the risks of trading. I could go on and on of people I cannot share my success and failures with. But at least everyone here gets it.
maybe it's better to find like-minded people and share with them? bc such pattern is observed in any activity - when people that are not involved in this particular activity, they're unlikely to understand you.
and what concers people's being negative about trading - I suppose this kind of attitude was born along with trading itself, so it's normal.
just keep going and doing for yourself :)

Mostly the traders who try to make money easily and fail at it miserably are negative about the market. The serious ones know what is happening and don’t let negative thoughts ruin their trades.

Most of the people who are negative about trading are the ones who have faced failures in forex and gave too quickly without even practising much and learning about the forex market.
These are the people who even claim forex to be a scam after they lose and quit the market.

When people are unable to understand the risks involved even though they have a good amount of knowledge and skills, they fail. This might make them feel negative about the market and eventually leads to quitting.

Unfortunately, the most part of people who have never tried trading claim that it's a negative activity. Otherwise, I am convinced that it of course might be negative because of the potential losses which appear because of your mistakes as a newcomer, nevertheless they are compenstaed by the colossal amount of new information and of course proffitable deals on the market.

People are tend to underestimate something that might b quite beneficial. It's because they don't believe that somewhere they can earn solid sums of money just staying at home and watching on the srceen of their laptop. It causes a cognitive dissonance in their brains.
