People are negative about trading

I encounter two types of people. One type are those who think I am a loser and hence I am trading. Another type are those who want tips from me. I try to avoid every one. For me trading has become a 14.5 hour a day job since I started trading on MCX. I really dont have time for any such types these days.

Trading is a solo activity except for when you have trading buddies with whom you share knowledge regularly.

I have a trading friend with whom I chat often on telegram during trading hours, as we trade the same instruments. He has an approach to handle people who ask him about trading. He talks back to them in complete Al Brooks language and they go nuts. If you know what I mean.

It really sucks that the average person is negative about trading.

How many full time traders does the average person know? Answer is zero.

Therefore they know full time trading is a pipe dream for most people, otherwise full time traders would be a bit more common.

But the average person knows plenty of losers (in all walks of life, not just from trading), they are every where. And you have a very high chance of being another one of them.

Keep dreaming but don't give up the day job, not until you got a good proven edge in your trading and enough capital to exploit it properly.

Cool thing about trading is there is no link between time/work and payoff. Few other professions have this.

Yeah but you can also have multi month losing periods. Few professions have that either. Although businesses do.

Sheesh....

I have to deal with the type of people around me who are like broken records for the past 2-3 years while at the job. It's not like I even want their support or anything. I just want them to stop intruding on my personal endeavors an put an end to all that verbal horseshit.
That's why it's better to keep it to yourself. Even on social media. Eventually, the results, will crush any sceptics.

Had this boss. The guy noticed that in the end of the shift, i am checking the charts etc (on my spare time). The man is okay. Saved my but few times. But then, he asked me once :
,,What kind of bitcoins are you checking there"
So i told him, in a very humble and polite way that i have this hobby etc.
And i qoute his reply :
,, Yeah...Had once this cooworker, who was bragging as well"

I was like, in my mind, - bro, you just asked yourself.

Don't mind the fools.

Smoke some ganja! :p

I also encounter two types of people. One type are those who think I am a savior and the other thinks I am the devil. Both ask for stock tips.

Live in Chicago with tons of traders and trading history. Negatives are rare - the usual conversation is about a family member looking to start.

.
Can't help it that I have nosy & toxic close family members priving into my business like a pack of screaming goats.

Learned to live with it but it can get pretty irritating at times.

Example... opens up a video on market scams and intentionally blast the volume up so I can hear.

And if you think that isn't annoying enough... It is not even 1/10th as bad than the other stuff which I rather not disclose.
