People are negative about trading

It really sucks that the average person is negative about trading. I’ve gotten to the point where I do not share my trading life with much of anyone. I have 1 friend who is very supportive, no surprise that he was trading for about 1.5 years until recently. One of my closest friends continues to say that I should focus on my regular job and forget about trading. Another close friend is a financial advisor and he is happy to deliver index type returns and would never support the risks of trading. I could go on and on of people I cannot share my success and failures with. But at least everyone here gets it.

Sheesh....

I have to deal with the type of people around me who are like broken records for the past 2-3 years while at the job. It's not like I even want their support or anything. I just want them to stop intruding on my personal endeavors an put an end to all that verbal horseshit.

Absolutely correct.

"Traders" are like homeless people only difference is they have money to spend.

I don't put in same category investors and quants or market makers,these people are professionals.

But that applies to a lot of things, pretty well any endevour where you are working for yourself.

That's good. We need them to continue to do what they do so they won't compete with us. Trading by the entire population is not sustainable. Keep telling them how risky trading is and how bad trading is that you are going to lose your money any minute now. LOL

yeah, most people are idiots and afraid of everything, and most people get stuck in a groove of stagnation and repeat the same old mundane type of jobs because its all they know and when they see someone succeeding and taking risks it exposes the jealous thoughts in them and the default reaction is to bring you down to their level rather than respect the position and risks and talent to do what you do

Yeah and the best way to deal with those people is to keep telling them that you are at the same level as them. LOL
