I have no faith in polling data. Especially a media outlet sponsored poll. Many Americans work hard and are not politicos or DC civics nerds. They've lost faith in the media, the American two party system, and they will lie to a pollster if they bother even responding.

Surprising Trump strength for primary candidates but the weakness in Pennsylvania is the congressional districts have been rejiggered out of gerrymandered and now favor democrats.

The republicans have been sitting on an ill gotten House majority for a long time now, and as these gerrymandered states reconfigure themselves back to fair, there is a rude awakening coming. This country is more liberal than conservatives think.

This was a common reaction coming out of 2016 because Trump won while the polling suggested he would lose. But, the polling was actually pretty good. Clinton won the popular vote within the expected margin.

The point is the polling is still pretty good but consumers of polling need to be more savvy.

There will undoubtedly be a big democratic vote this year but if you understand anything about the make up of our congressional districts you’ll know it is a very heavy lift.

In some ways it’s advantageous to democrats to make gains but lose the house. Trump is on very shaky ground right now and it may get serve the democrats to be on the sidelines if the economy crashes and war breaks out after 2018.
