I have no idea how these things would play out. But if there's only smoke and no fire, and the investigations bear that out, then Bob's you're uncle. However, if it is determined that the Trump team had a hand in subverting the democratic process with the help of a sovereign power, then would not the outcome of that very election be called into question? I'm asking. I don't know.

You can't even explain how Trump or his campaign could have "subverted the democratic process" yet you speculate what could happen if it was found that they did. If your idea of subversion is exposing dirt on an opponent we have one subverted democracy down here. They probably even have a Dirt Network.
If some actual evidence was discovered that the Trump campaign team actually tampered with the voting process, then yes the results of his election would be in question. What the next steps would be I don't know at the moment. To my knowledge that's not even what they're looking for. I believe they're trying to find evidence of some sit down conversation between Trump and/or his associates where the Russians were asked to leak specific information pertaining to the Clinton campaign. Yes, that type info was leaked. Did Trump specifically request that? Seems highly unlikely. He didn't have too. The shit was coming out regardless and him saying,hey look at this, isn't a crime.
