Well, the other thing there is- just playing along with their little impeachment fantasy- if Trump is removed by impeachment, it is not a given that Pence takes his place on the ticket. Neither Pence nor Trump have been nominated just because there is no primary. They are not the nominee until the convention votes them in and even if it is past primary time, they can still run a brokered convention right there on the floor and settle it.

What I am getting at is if Trump were removed, all the usual suspects would come out to run before the convention: Rubio, Cruz, Kasich, etc. Some of them would clearly be competitive against Warren- most people are.
 
I'll say this about Nancy, she has had an amazing life. Who would have thought this little thing would be saving America from totalitarianism one day.

I don't agree. Pence would easily win the nomination no matter how much Romney wants it.

Didn't say he would or would not. Said it is not a given, and that -despite what is often assumed- Pence does not automatically become the replacement on the ticket. You would have to deal with others who would rise to run. This is true whether one thinks they would ultimately not be competitive or not. A lot of those lefties worry about someone like Rubio who is younger entering to compete against Warren or Biden. Not sayin I worry about it. But they do and if that is what they worry about then they need to worry if they bump Trump out. Lots of newer blood could show up.

It will never come up. However, I do think Pence is the auto replacement.
