But that is not what I said, I believe Pelosi is ok tanking the Dems chances at President because she looks stronger opposing Trump than sucking up to a new Dem President which is not going to happen. Biden is weakly leading and she gets to attack Trump, hurt Biden and make her power stronger pushing away the fringes of the party who will look like losers in 2020. Warren gets moved to the front and the whacky far left policies move central stage nad get ripped to shreds while she emerges unscathed.
Then she hands over the reigns to a stronger and leaner Dem party in 2024.
Her actions will not hurt the Congressional candidates who majority still are not so far left. But she needs to silence the new class of the crazy leftards like AOC and Talib so by highlighting the failure of the party moving so far left also pushes those pesky newcomers into the shadows further solidifying her power over Congress.
A failed Warren and HRC campaign will show the party needs to reevaluate its approach and heads will roll....except Pelosi's
The push for impeachment:
1. Tanks Joe
2. Continues highlighting issues with trump
3. Pushes Warren to the front with no chance of winning
4. Destroys this new faction of the Dem party
5. Makes her the strongest Dem in D.C. and top dog for 4 more years
6. The cleansing gives the Dems 3 more years to wash away the shit and come up with better stronger candidates for the 2020/2022 Congressional districts and 2024 Presidential
7. Moves the focus back on attacks on GOP and away from the crappy campaign strats of Dems.
She is taking one for the team for the long-term play. This is wiping out the colony and keeping a few survivors to start again newer and stronger. It is pure genius and evil at the same time.
Brilliant.
Alright. I might have zoned out and skipped some reading a bit when I saw that part about handing over a stronger and leaner party- because taking a beating and defeat in 2020 would be good for 2024.
I dont see how it is going to make her stronger if Warren runs and the face of the party becomes ultra-lefty which puts the dem majority in the house at risk because the swing state dems and trump state dems are put at risk if the dem party goes full-loon. Pelosi has no power without a majority so that is quite a thing to put at risk.
Anyway. As usual in politics, all that you said, is a possible scenario and to her benefit if she can pull it off- except that is a big "if." Pretty sad- given the fact that trump is vulnerable, not an easy shot, but vulnerable." Instead of all those highly convoluted strategies, why not just get a good candidate, take the presidency and keep the house? Oh, I see. No good candidates on the horizon.
