Uh no.
First of all Taylor's "testimony" reads like his pitch for a book deal. And it's the same as every Washington memoir "If only the idiots had listened to me..."
He is a career State Department drone. His job is to implement policy, not make it. His real beef is revealed in the first few paragraphs of his statement. He is a neo-con who believes we should be fighting wars everywhere, particularly if we can get in Russia's face. The voters had a different view and elected a guy who promised to change that.
In addition, Trump had every right as President to demand cooperation in investigating the attempt by the Obama administration, the Clinton campaign, foreign powers and a shady bunch of spies to interfere in our election and annul it. Ukraine was ground zero for a lot of this, not to mention the home of infamous CrowdStrike, the only people who were allowed to examine the DNC servers after the supposed Russian hack.
You'd think the media would be demanding such answers but they are obviously laser-focused on bringing down Trump and protecting the corrupt Obama administration. But hey, "democracy dies in darkness", so the WashPost lectures us every day.
