In a real trial it would be:

A real trial would also allow witnesses, evidence, and cross examination of the accused. It would also force the jury to sit on the trial under penalty of contempt/prison, and not allow introducing irrelevant arguments/conjectures of crimes by a third party. Heaven forbid if a real trial allowed the jury to coordinate with the accused in writing the trial's rules or let the accused threaten them by putting their head on a pike.
In a real trial, the accused would not work so hard to hide a "perfect alibi" or witnesses to said alibi.
