Pelosi Impeachment Inquiry

Another "constitutional scholar". Ya know we already have B1 here claiming that.
Anyway.. well its called "The People's House" and the FF's intent I'm sure was to have the Reps represent the wishes of the people who sent them there. Don't arrive in DC and then start voting your feelings. Do your job. But that's jmo...

A lot of these dems are doing a different calculation than people think. Lots of people/pundits think that if they decide to vote for impeachment that they have therefore concluded that that is the best position to have if they want to be re-elected based on an analysis of what their constituents want.

Nope. It is more difficult and messier than that. Any dem who votes against impeachment knows that he/she will automatically be primaried- thus subjecting them to two very good chances of not being re-elected rather than just one- so they are choosing the one chance by eliminating the primary challenge.

I dont have an answer for them. It's a mess their party brought upon them. Some will do okay and some won't.

This is actually wrong. We have a representative democracy. Meaning the people vote for their representatives not the people vote on issues.

The president is the office of the nation, the senate is the chamber of the state’s and the house is the chamber of the people.

All power in this country is derived from the people, legally. And the entire political system is in a constant state of revolution with elections every 2,4 and 6 years to make the elected officials accountable to the people.

O hope some day you right wingers love America enough to actually learn about it.

Right wingers? Pfff... try 97% of our population.

Impeachment can be confusing. But The Babylon Bee is here with an explainer so you will know how the process works and what it takes for Dems to snap their fingers together and make Trump disappear in a cloud of dust.

What is impeachment?

It's the official, constitutional method for screaming at the sky because Trump is president.

Why is Trump being impeached?

Trump has committed some very serious offenses, from not being a Democrat to being a Republican. He also won the 2016 election, which rises to the level of high crimes and misdemeanors. He also restored the celebration of Christmas after eight years of winter with no Christmas under Obama. This drove Dems up a wall so they drummed up some charges against him.

Why didn't Democrats include any criminal offenses in the articles of impeachment?

There were just so many of them, it was hard to pick one. So, instead of laying out actually impeachable offenses, the Democrats summarized it all with two main articles of impeachment: 1.) Trump is president. 2.) TRUMP IS PRESIDENT.

What does it take to remove the president from office?

Faith, trust, and pixie dust.

Will Trump be removed from office?

Lol.

If we believe in ourselves and try hard, and Trump is removed, Hillary Clinton becomes president, right?

Actually, Mike Pence would become president, basically making the United States into a Handmaid's Tale-style dystopia.

What happens if Trump is impeached in the House but acquitted in the Senate?

Democrats don't get the big prize, but they each get a complimentary copy of Impeachment: The Board Game.

Once the House votes to officially impeach President Trump, what happens next?

Trump wins the 2020 election.

not anymore.

What will happen next that diverts from this simple idea is Trump is going to be investigated for criminal actions in his business and he will go to prison.

They won't go light on him as after he leaves office he won't be relatively quiet like other ex-presidents. He can't tweet in prison.

So many people I know who voted for him did so to upset the apple cart and fully expected him to be impeached because of his bad character. This is what is occurring.

So Monday I think it was, some Congresswoman from Michigan in an area Trump carried pretty handily, was on several networks saying "she has to vote her conscious", political career be damned. IE, vote to impeach.

"Now correct me if I'm wrong Sandy" (quick..which movie?)... but aren't Representatives supposed to vote what their constituents want? Since when is it about her feelings? That's bs.

Nah, their constitutional duty goes beyond their constituents' feelings on the matters. We wouldn't want tyranny of the majority and have a mob vote.
