You should be able to determine which states that applies and determine what can happen to you if you were to break into someone's home, threaten to kill them...what the home owner can then legally do to you.
Now guess what states that's legal in the United States ???

Back to Trump...the issue involving his access to the red button is really about threatening another country to instigate a nuclear crisis. Simply, make it a mess for Biden / Harris administration to clean up (end the nuclear crisis)...another way for him to burn down the office on his way out the door.
Thus, its really not about an actual "launching of a nuclear weapon".
He's got more things to worry about as he approaches being a private citizen such as being impeached that would result in him never being able to hold a political office or the waiting civil / criminal lawsuits by the state of New York (e.g. tax invasion)...reminds me of how Chicago got Al Capone when he and his supporters thought he was "untouchable".
