Pretty decent day today. Opening orders got 4 fills

JNJ +20
XOM +70
KO +50
JWN +380


Then I traded my favorite VLO after that for a nice +120 gain.

Its 7:45am and im done for the day. 5 stocks/5 winners. Now i can feel good about the weekend leaving on a high note. :)

+$640 minus $90 for commissions and im up $520 for the day.

Opps... I meant $550. :) But if my openings were billable (i can never tell if they are), then after SEC fees and that extra penny for each short stock i'll be at right about $500 net for the day.

Turned out my net was $539.01 after all my SEC fees/commissions.
 
Monday Mornings. grrr. Opening orders i lost about $290 total with commissions.

4 fills 3 losers/1 winner

JNJ -100
XOM -50
ACI -180

AXP +120.

Now for the good news. I traded VERY WELL today. I listened to my indicators on VLO and made $70 and then got strong multiple indicators to short LEH. I tried to short at 131.55 but the stock moved down...then at 131.40 but missed it again. Finally got filled at 131.19 (low of the day at that time was 131.18) and the stock just went up after that. I started to panic but said..."listen to your indicators. Its a strong sell (4 different indicators said sell). So i held...it went against me about 40 cents but then dropped like a rock. I set a target of buying it back at 130.51...then changed it to 130.62. Saw what looked like a reveral when it was at 130.81 so i bought it back at that. It dropped another 8 cents before the reversal but a profit is a profit.

LEH +380

Gross profit for the day +$240 minus about $130 in commissions, SEC fees, specialist fee for the short. Net +$110 I want to keep trading but thats where i get in trouble.
 
Got a little itchy...I dont know why i do this. Traded GS and Netted about +$30. Even though this was a profitable trade I dont consider it successful because my indicators were very weak in telling me to short it. This is my 3rd trade today after opening orders so i definately wont be getting into any more trades. Maybe i better limit myself to only 2 trades after opening orders. I can see my mindset is a little messed up after 2 trades.
 
Wow, could the fates be any more against me today? Ok first off programtrading.com didnt show what the dollar was for the day so I entered $1.50. Then i only got 2 fills KO and ACI lost 90 in KO...I was short ACI 1000 shares @ 74.17 I tried to buy back at 74.90 but it moved against me...so then i tried to buy back 1000 at 74 which was HIGHER than the ask price...i got filled for 700 shares and the stock was all of a sudden at 75 bought back the last 300 at 74.75 for a total loss of 55.

Then i started trading VLO Was up 1000 dollars in it and decided to take my profit....but it dropped down 15 cents, i thought it would come back though....I saw my signals about ready to cross but for some reason i thought i knew something the market didnt. I didnt listen to my signals and was soon 1000 in the hole. Eventually started listening to my signals and came back even...sort of... My gross for the day. +7 dollars After commissions and other fees im down about 220 or so. :(
 
Opening orders 5 fills 3 losers/2 winners...ended up flat. ACI screwed me out of my profit again. It did that 1 dollar jump again while i was short. I couldve held it a few more minutes because it came back, but I was just happy with a -230 loss in it instead of a -800+ loss.

After commissions I should be net around +$500 for the day. Not bad for 1 hours work. :)
 
Ok I decided to post my november Results from my first day ,nov 8 to nov 30. I went back to re-look at my first week results to see what my net loss was for that first week(something i really didnt want to see). Turns out it was -$4497. My starting capital was 24,800 and my balance as of nov. 30 was 21,630 for a net loss of the month of -$3170. Seems i've made most that money back in the last week. I would like to get flat by christmas but we will see how that goes.
 
opening orders only 1 fill but at least it was a winner. I took my profits a little early in LEH but Im happy for my profit for the day.

KO +$114 (opening order)
LEH +$515
VLO +$285

After commissions and SEC fees...Im up about $850 for the day. A nice start for the first of the month. :)
