That's true. However in light of the 50 plus threads started by freethinker showing how many pedophiles there are in the Catholic Church, I thought it would be fair to show that this sick problem is on both sides of the aisle and I even pointed that out several times on this thread. Denner, you know as well I do, that any thread started down here is going to get a politcal association very quickly.

I could start a thread about how the Bears suck and blew it this year to get into the playoffs and within 5 posts someone will take it as an attack on Obama because he is from Chicago.

Again: YOU ARE FULL OF SHIT. Prove that Hollywood is "overwhelmingly liberal" or STFU. The vast majority of Hollywood movies have nothing to do with exclusively liberal or conservative values. Wanting to see the bad guys punished for their evil deeds is not something conservatives can claim exclusively for themselves. Patriotism is not an exclusively conservative value. Maybe you object to the fact that racism or sexism are not portrayed favorably in the majority of modern movies. Maybe those are conservative values you hate seeing deplored in Hollywood, maybe not. As stated, Hollywood is a business, which means they don't go out of their way to turn off a large portion of their potential audience with unnecessary portrayals of bigotry in a favorable light.

You claim "the left" gets its "values" from Hollywood, a home of rampant pedophilia. Not only do my values and almost every liberal I know have fuckall to do with Hollywood, but the pedophilia in Hollywood is kept secret, just like it is everywhere else in America. So wtf does that have to do with Hollywood values displayed onscreen? Nothing, except to a crayon chewer like you.

Did you know a thing about the Sandusky/Penn State scandal before it broke? Of course not. So if you ever enjoyed a Penn State football game, does that make you a pedophile enabler or a pedophile apologist? Of course not. You didn't know shit about child actor abuse before you read that article you posted, yet you act like that tiny fraction of "the left" that gets their "values" from Hollywood should have magically *known* that child actors were being sexually abused and done something about it. Like I said: you're a simple-minded reactionary with delusions of intelligence.

I know that it will eventually become political, but unfortunately you set the tone from the get go. Free Thinker has a nasty habit of constantly pulling this shit, but why destroy an otherwise very informative thread (it was all news to me about Hollywood pedophelia), by taking it immediately into this liberal vs conservative debate. I think it could have made it a few pages further without turning into complete chaos.

You're right. There was actually a good story about this a few months back on Nightline I saw when they interviewed Corey Feldman. I was shocked when I saw the story because no one in the media was covering it. And to the previous poster, this has been going on for a very long time in Hollywood.

Obviously we all remember when Roman Polanski raped that 12 year old girl in Jack Nicholson's home in 1977. I point this case out because Hollywood vehemently defended Polanski both then and now. They have a history of hiding this stuff.

Yes, of course all pedophilia is hidden for the most part. But when it comes out, people should condemn those who are a part of it. Polanski was not condemned but defended. I thought that spoke volumes of where Hollywood stood on this issue.
