PDT Rule & Prop Firms

5Pillars - roflmao that post cracked me up

Mav - thanks for "trying" to help but you know this crowd.

I think the BIGGER issue for us as traders is NOT just saving our own butt.

BUT (pun)

If we lose all the prop shops, volume will dry up huge and that will kill edges for stock traders.

That is my concern !

the philly used to grandfather the 7. if you sign up with a member firm your 7 is re-activated. i don't think this has changed. i think echo may be philly... maybe someone else can shed some light. Don?

Steel ask Don Bright which Xchanges grandfather the 7.

hey thanks a bunch 88! Don you out there? can you shed any light on this?

Geez, I take 3 days off for Easter, and you guys (not you Steel) are still at it.

The stock exchanges require a S7, the Cboe had a couple of firms that didn't require because cboe didn't require. That is likely chaning according to my people (merger etc.).

I don't know anything about grandfathering. We belonged to the Philly when the S7 came into being.

Don

your memory is off, my 7 was grandfathered by the philly at Bright in that time period. check with your compliance officer.

You're probably right then...heck, this is such a minor issue, I haven't kept track for the last decade LOL.

All the best,

Don
