PCE Inflation Data from BEA (Bureau of Economic Analysis) shows the trend is still up

PCE Inflation Data from BEA (Bureau of Economic Analysis) shows the trend is still going up (based on the yearly basis). Regardless what the FED has said about inflation. Inflation at personal level is going up, it has affected people's lives. No wonder a lot of workers on strike to demand higher wages.
On October 25, a tentative agreement was reached between the UAW and Ford; it includes an 11% wage increase in the first year, and total 25% increase in wages over the 4.5 year contract, a $5,000 ratification bonus and a cost-of-living adjustment. When including cost-of-living adjustments, total pay could be raised by 30%

Some items are getting cheaper and cheaper

Corn futures price has been dropping since May 2022.
Price has dropped massively from 800 to 400.

Similarly Natural gas dropped very massively from $9 on Sep 2022 to
$2.

Guess the ummm fact that the $CRB index has been dropping since May 28th (which was a double top with June 9th, 2022) should be ignored huh?

Or maybe you just need MAGA ;) glasses to do that.

So Unleaded traded and closed below $2 today (first time in a good while). Still think inflation is moving back higher?

-an Amish grandma in Lancaster, PA knew average price of gasoline in Arkansas and Oklahoma is about $2.88 (Oklahoma and Arkansas are two states that have lowest cost of living in the US).

-cost of everyday stuff is popping in China. we'll see price hike of stuff exported from China would go up. US is no longer the manufacturer of the world. China is! Prices are controlled by China in some way (indirectly). I don't see inflation in the US would come down soon. look at the average price of a car is about $45,000 dollars!

speaking of $CRB. Gold has trended up!

Didn't know you were Amish. :)

Meanwhile China is losing some of its manufacturing base (iPhones being made in India, for instance) to other countries and they all want to keep prices low to stay competitive. Our tariffs do more to raise prices on Americans. Doesn't seem like that will be changing anytime soon because of both sides vote pandering.

I just follow what the market is saying and right now it doesn't seem to indicate any dramatic changes in inflation up or down.
