After some of the jokes told at last night’s White House Correspondents Dinner, Fox News correspondent Ed Henry thinks Sarah Huckabee Sanders deserves an apology.
Appearing on Fox & Friends Sunday, Henry called President Donald Trump‘s Michigan rally the previous night “a contrast” to the tone of the dinner hosted by comedian Michelle Wolf, who he called “mean, hateful” and “vile.”
“I was there for it,” Henry said. “It was disgusting, despicable. Sarah Sanders should get an apology from the White House Correspondents Association… and what a contrast to what the president was doing. Talking about issues people actually care about.”

Two White House officials who appeared on TV this morning had pretty negative thoughts on the White House Correspondents Dinner.
Mercedes Schlapp, White House senior communications adviser, appeared on Fox & Friends this morning, after her husband tweeted this last night:
My wife @mercedesschlapp and I walked out early from the wh correspondents dinner. Enough of elites mocking all of us
Schlapp said Michelle Wolf‘s jokes were “so incredibly disrespectful” and “disgusting,” saying this is why President Trump skipped the dinner.
“A woman going after these very talented women I think was so incredibly offensive,” she continued.
