Payment for order flow

Are you sure about hidden orders on options exchanges? Are you saying that I can send a market(able) order directly to exchange and receive a price improvement? Or by hidden you mean off the exchanges?

Hidden liquidity and hidden orders are 2 different things. Hidden orders are simulated and withheld from the exchange by the broker if they support that function, like IB. Whereas Hidden liquidity is the price you may get between the Bid and ask.

In equities I can send hidden orders to the exchanges. I don't think these are available for options. I can place my hidden order between NBBO and someone can benefit from it by receiving better price compared to NBBO. Do options exchanges allow for such functionality? I quickly scanned CBOE spec and didn't find it.

Goggle preferenced orders and you see where they offered. You can only hit them off a broker smart router.

i love that the elite are super concerned about the latencies.
