There is nothing illegal or improper about Trump having an event at his hotel. These are private individuals, not government employees.

So the Secy of Commerce can receive Rolex watches from Wall Street firms because they are private individuals.

The head of an agency can receive a free trip to a fishing cabin all expenses paid by a company they regulate because they are private individuals.

Trump's standard of living decreased when he became President.

Serioisly...before he had to pay everytime he wanted to go to Florida and spend the weekend golfing or bring his family with him. He had to pay for all of his meals daily and transportation.
