If any crime was committed by JohnsTradingClub by posting the movie, to bring a case the plaintiff would have to have 'standing' show some loss or hurt in some kind. Where was the hurt and where was the loss? What jurisdiction and what DA would hear the case?
Compared to internet crimes such as child porn, money laundering, id theft, denial of service attacks, virus generation, etc., etc., etc....
Jones can threaten web site and have the files taken down, even contact web service providers, YouTube is easy, they will take down anything and ask questions later.
But tracking down posters on a forum? Not going to happen....
Also, any legal action would only result in more demand for the video and more main stream media attention. Dealbreaker.com had 3 Jones articles in the past week. Any action would result in a lot of people asking who is PTJ and how did he make $3.3 billion?
The movie is out there on the web, no way to take it down. The more effort applied, the more places it turns up... That is the world we live in for good or bad.
But hey, that is just my opinion.
