seems all the trading sites picked up on the video. Not a thing PTJ can do now.

Although I'm not sure what he has to worry about. 95% of those who watch it are more interested in swagger than the few useful elements of trading he gave away

I asked the guy who posted it at YouTube if it was legally posted and got a squishy answer. I would link to it if legal. That said, everyone here with a pulse should realize it comes down to if PTJ wants it out or doesn't mind. It is a great video. I have had it for years.

If it is on youtube, it has already been downloaded on thousands of computers. Why would PTJ give a shit anyway...?

In his interview in Market Wizards PTJ expressed a concern that he could be blamed in some way for the market selloff because he called the turn so accurately. Today, in this current political environment, he could again become the poster-boy for Wall Street greed as the example of an evil 'speculator' who is always manipulating the market for personal gain. I think this is bullshit but that's the world we live in. Look what happened to some bank CEO's and Auto execs who did not want to play ball with the President... Great profits at GS and Citi, and the Union bosses go unquestioned (Hope and Change eh). There is nothing PTJ can do now to stop distribution of that movie. Time will tell....

Not sure I see what would so concerning to him about this documentary. Ok, the "Dow 500" thing is a little amusing, but everyone has the odd faulty crystal ball moment, and it's not like he stuck with it in the face of contrary market movement (*cough* Prechter *cough*).

Wonder if he still has those Bruce Willis sneakers...

It is a vanity thingy. He simply didn't want that image of him to be spread or shown anymore.

It has nothing to do with trading secrets...

You know how they could make this place 1000 times better? Charge a fee. Something small.....like 10 bucks a month. That would flush out all the idiots from here. Until then like you said, this place is mostly populated by wanna-be's who have never traded a share of stock/a contract in their life.

I guess from a business sense that it's all a numbers game to Baron. It's funny though because 99% of these knuckleheads who come on here with their garbage will never buy/subscribe to anything the paying sponsors offer.

Until then, ET will really continue to be a joke to those in the REAL trading world.

Sadly, that's true with all trading forums. I visit Trade2win regularly, it's completely overrun by idiots and snake oil salesmen. Charging a small fee may work, but I am not so sure. Remember that people who start these boards (Baron here and Paul Gould in T2W) are not traders, they are just web developers who by accident created a successful forum. To create a proper trading forum for real traders, you need a proper trader as a leader. But which real trader has the time?

The guy who runs it is a trader. Extremely low signal to noise ratio. Low crap tolerance. No snake oil salesmen there - they tend to get laughed at first then blended post haste

Good site. The majority seem to be quants which is not really my game, but at least they are quite clearly proper traders rather than bullshitters.
