Excellent post.

Every now and then someone offers a bit of value in the Hardware or Software Forums, but that's about it. Otherwise, ET is strictly for entertainment value.

That having been said, I have in fact met some REAL traders here (years ago) who have been an absolutely delight to chat with outside of this forum.

Unfortunately, given Baron's continued choice of business model there is nothing that prevents ET from becoming overgrown with "cut and paste" posters and people that fantasize about being the next Stevie Cohen - - - not too mention the sordid crew of low self-esteem psychopaths that use ET for "therapy" and their new best friend with one alias after another.

For some reason, the lack of quality of content on ET does not bother Baron.

You know how they could make this place 1000 times better? Charge a fee. Something small.....like 10 bucks a month. That would flush out all the idiots from here. Until then like you said, this place is mostly populated by wanna-be's who have never traded a share of stock/a contract in their life.

I guess from a business sense that it's all a numbers game to Baron. It's funny though because 99% of these knuckleheads who come on here with their garbage will never buy/subscribe to anything the paying sponsors offer.

Until then, ET will really continue to be a joke to those in the REAL trading world.

Thunderdog was likely SNUBBED by Williams or his lovely and talented daughter Michelle. I would pay him no mind on this topic. The viterol is close to an obsession.

Surf, I've been fairly decent with you in this thread. Try not to be an idiot. I have never spoken to the worm despite your repeated requests that I do so. And as I have advised you a few years ago, I spoke with an enforcement attorney at the NFA who essentially confirmed what Gallacher wrote insofar as the NFA was concerned. (Otherwise Williams would have cause to make a statement of claim against Gallacher.)

"Keys to the Kingdom" indeed.

Quote from gigsup:

So educate me on him. I know little of him outside of the press and a video here and there. You seem to be the authority.
Read Gallacher's book, as you said you would. Insofar as charlatan promoters are concerned, Gallacher covers them well. Williams gets special attention.

What's impressive about the video is that he was only in his early thirties there, Borish was only 27. The only current example of young guys managing so much I can think of is John Arnold...

What exactly is meant by an internal FOF? Each strategy is run as a seperate entity?? They have different fee structures? I think this term is slightly a misnomer, but I am not sure... thanks

Different managers running sub-accounts. I sold a car to a guy who managed a $100MM account at Tudor and he filled me in on the details. From what I gathered it was a nice gig; complete autonomy within your risk-profile.

Borish led the development of the single greatest piece of code ever written in finance (Tudor Software's Ranger). Too bad he can't keep OneChicago running for more than a day.

I take it this thread will get deleted pretty soon too?

Probably not. Bickering makes the ET world go round.

Not to mention controversial vids.

Did not get PTJ to be in my doc, but Peter Borish (other guy in 'Trader') is in my film <a href="http://www.brokemovie.com">"Broke"</a>.
